What is a Embodied Breathwork? A ceremonial workshop connecting you to your own breath, body and roots. Integrating Robyn's training in Hatha Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation, she merges this with her experience in other realms, expanded states and rooting practices.  This hour is to give you a chance to have a big sigh and get you back in your body and ready for the day What is Hapé? Hapé is an ancestral medicine of the Amazon Jungle applied via the nose. Hapé is used to silence the busy mind and bring peace and clarity, dropping into the body. It can be used to help you focus on activities - traditionally used before hunting. Used for a variety of physical imbalances such as sinusitis, allergies, asthma, fever, parasites as it cleans the body especially the nasal passages and stomach. What is a Temazcal Sweatlodge? A type of Sweatlodge, a Temazcal is a purification ceremony; for relieving stress, cleansing toxins from the body, releasing negativity and revitalising life force. Especially beneficial for your immune system & balancing mind, body & spirit. As a key part of indigenous medicine, it has been used widely for thousands of years for the treatment & prevention of disease, stress, weight loss, depression, skin conditions, fibromyalgia & more.. The dome itself represents the ‘Womb of the Earth’ as its energy is distinctly nurturing, bringing us closer to our Mother Earth.

Root of the Gods is a community project integrating ancestral earth wisdom into our everyday lives. We support the revival of the ancestral art of living through events, retreats, courses, art and products. We dedicate our life to nurturing relationships with earth wisdom, indigenous teachers and practise the study of bridge keeping - re-building balanced cycles of reciprocal living.

“REVIVING the ANCESTRAL

ART of LIVING”

We live & breathe ancestral earth wisdom into the everyday, through authentic cultural experiences; retreats, courses and more… If you want to connect with indigenous ceremonies, build a relationship with the wild, face the uncomfortable and find your old friend freedom...you're in the right place…

“WE GUIDE PEOPLE TO PLACES THAT THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN, YET WHERE WE ALL BELONG”

Ahau Samuel, a native Mexican medicine man and co-founder of Root of the Gods, has devoted his life to studying and sharing ancestral medicines since the tender age of 18. Through ceremonies, workshops, and profound healing experiences, he has emerged as a revered teacher with a heart of humility. His wisdom and guidance are cherished by countless communities throughout Mexico. Ahau's teachings encompass a rich tapestry of roots, including the Temazcal Sweat Lodge, Vision Quest, Drum Making, and serving ancestral medicines such as Kambo and Hapé. His journey is marked by his many teachers and experience serving in diverse settings, ranging from rehabilitation centers to esteemed retreat centers. Having worked alongside his mother - a Homeopathic Doctor, Ahau has a profound relationship with natural medicine. An integral figure within the Camino Rojo Foundation, Ahau actively supports cultural ceremonies such as the Moon Dance (Danza de Luna) and Sun Dance (Danza del Sol). Every step he takes along his path is guided by a singular purpose: to serve humanity.

Robyn Leonie is an Explorer, Creator, Facilitator and Co-Founder of Root of the Gods. Dedicating her life to bridging the gap between ancient wisdom and modern life, elevating the reciprocal return of the ancestral art of living. Robyn has traveled the world as a citizen student of anthropology and ethnobotany - studying the roots of our cultures and learning how they positively guide and support our human experience. As part of the McKenna Academy team, trained in Psychedelic Integration by ICEERS & Marc Aixala and student of Mazatec Elder Doña Eugenia Casimiro - Robyn embodies a bridge between the ancient and modern cultures. Working alongside indigenous wisdom keepers, creating programmes and experiences wherein cultural teachings can be honoured, shared and guided in their growth and integration. With her unique filter, she transforms her knowledge into simple guidance; creative, clear & humble steps towards a more rooted future for all beings.
